How to write a Mains Answer ?

1. Identify KEY words in the Question

2. Identify the ‘Directive’ : Discuss, Comment, Analyse, Explain etc

3. Pause for a moment and develop a mental framework for answer

4. Don’t wait, Start writing, Force the answer

5. Standard Answer: Introduction-Body-Conclusion (need not mention specifically)

6. Bullets/ Paragraph? Make it interesting, If paragraph – use side headings

7. Schematic/ Diagrammatic Representation

8. Well Balanced conclusion with a general remark, steps to be improve, policy measure, way out, suggestions
